⁴論到第七日、有一處說、『到第七日　神就歇了他一切的工。』

⁴ For he spake in a certain place of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

⁴ For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work."

⁵ And in this [place] again, if they shall enter into my rest.

⁵ And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest."

留心KJV if they shall enter into my rest的繙譯，裏面沒有斷不可進入我的安息的意思。是否昔日的言語與今天的言語不同？

⁶既有必進安息的人、那先前聽見福音的、因為不信從、不得進去．

⁶ Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

⁶ It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience.

NIV中的 the gospel在KJV中沒有出現，但在希4:2有出現。

KJV中的 unbelief 在和合本和 NIV 中譯作不信從 disobedience 。

⁷所以過了多年、就在大的書上、又限定一日、如以上所引的說、『你們今日若聽他的話、就不可硬心。』

⁷ Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

⁷ Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

KJV和 NIV中的 To day或是 calling it Today都沒出現在和合本中。

⁸若是約書亞已叫他們享了安息、後來神就不再題別的日子了。

⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

⁸ For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.

約書亞 Joshua在 KJV 中譯作 Jesus 。

⁹這樣看來、必另有一安息日的安息、為神的子民存留。

⁹ There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

⁹ There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

KJV中的 unbelief 在和合本和 NIV 中譯作不信從 disobedience 。

¹²神的道是活潑的、是有功效的、比一切兩刃的劍更快、甚至魂與靈、骨節與骨髓、都能刺入剖開、連心中的思念和主意、都能辨明。

¹² For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹² For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

NIV： living and active

NIV中的 judges在和合本和KJV中是辨明 a discerner。

¹³並且被造的、沒有一樣在他面前不顯然的．原來萬物、在那與我們有關係的主眼前、都是赤露敞開的。

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

¹³ Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

¹⁴我們既然有一位已經升入高天尊榮的大祭司、就是　神的兒子耶穌、便當持定所承認的道。

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.

¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

NIV中的 faith 在和合本中作道，在KJV郤沒有譯出來。

¹⁵因我們的大祭司、並非不能體恤我們的弱．他也曾凡事受過試探、與我們一樣．只是他沒有犯罪。

¹⁵ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.

和合本和NIV中的弱 weaknesses在KJV譯作 infirmities。

¹⁶所以我們只管坦然無懼的、來到施恩的寶座前、為要得憐恤、蒙恩惠作隨時的幫助。   

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁶ Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
